exchanges & returns

Our philosophy

Returns are rare in couture. Every piece is born to be an heirloom, not a transaction. That’s why our focus is on perfecting fit, repairing if needed, and ensuring longevity — so your maya Morita piece can be passed down, not passed back.

Made-to-order policy

Every Morita piece is made-to-order, continuing a tradition from Tlemcen ateliers where garments are cut and finished for one woman at a time. Because of this bespoke process, we cannot accept standard returns.

We believe this is part of true couture: slow, intentional, and created with you in mind.

Exchanges & adjustments

We want each Morita piece to live beautifully on your body. If your garment requires an adjustment in size or fit, we offer:

• Alterations at the atelier (Paris or algiers)
• Guidance with a trusted local tailor if you are in Europe or a mena country

Email studio@mayamorita.com within 7 days of delivery to request an alteration. We’ll find the most seamless solution for you.

Process

1. Email us at studio@mayamorita.com with your order number.
2. We’ll confirm eligibility for exchange or alteration.
3. Ship the piece back in its original bag and box (tracked + signed).
4. Once received, we begin adjustments or ship your replacement.

Responsibility

Shipping fees for exchanges are the client’s responsibility, except in cases of damage/defect. Morita is not liable for customs duties/taxes on exchanged items re-entering Algeria, North Africa, or the Middle East.
