Prune Noire Karakou

€350.00

The karakou is one of the most architectural garments in Algerian ceremonial dress. Its authority comes from proportion, bearing, and the precision with which it organizes the body.

In this version, we retained that authority while shifting the garment into a more sober wardrobe language. Embroidery is set aside so that the construction can read clearly.

Ornament is reduced; structure remains primary. Prune raw silk gives depth; the button line and metallic details punctuate the garment vertically and give it a subtle shine. All the elegance of traditional Algerian dress, distilled into contemporary tailoring.

Details:
• Dark plum soie sauvage (raw silk)
• Short, structured karakou jacket
• Tailored, cinched waist
• Fabric-covered buttons along the front
• Fine gold chain detailing
• Matching tailored trousers
• Hand-finished detailing
• Made to order, handmade in Algiers
